Worship
Children
We welcome your children into Worship and Sunday School at Spirit of Peace and
we welcome you as partners in our ministry with children. In one hour a
week, our Sunday School teachers and shepherds will plant some faith seeds, but
we recognize that what we do in Sunday School supports the important faith
teaching and nurturing that children receive in their homes. In that
spirit, we invite parents to become an active part of the Children's Education
program so that together we can work towards our goal of helping our children
develop a relationship with God that will manifest itself through their daily
living as loving, forgiving, confident
peacemakers in the world.
Rotation Curriculum
We currently use a Rotation Model for the presentation of Sunday School
lessons. It is an exciting, creative, kid-friendly, practical, flexible,
multiple learning styles-informed new approach to organizing and teaching
Sunday School. In the rotation model, several teachers present the
same story or theme over several weeks, each using a different participatory
teaching method. From week to week, small groups of students rotate from
teacher to teacher, to experience many different versions of that lesson theme
presented through art, creative cookery, games, movement and music,
storytelling, science and videos. Our kids love it and our teachers love
it!!
Sunday Morning Schedule
Our Kick-off Sunday for our children's education program is the second Sunday

most Sunday mornings during the school year, beginning at 9:00 am.
Classes are dismissed for a snack at 9:50 am and into their parents' care at
10:00 am. Worship begins at 10:30 am.

Nursery
Nursery care is provided for infants - kindergarteners during worship.
Bibles
Bibles are presented to third graders in the fall of the year. The
version of the Bible we are presenting is the New Revised Standard Version.
Story
Telling Room.
Worship
"Let the children
come to me."
Like Jesus, we love our children. Worship is a time when the whole
community gathers to celebrate and the children are a very important part of
that community. The pastors regularly provide a children's message and
the children are often invited to participate in worship.
